Aurores Boréales au Québec / Auroras in Quebec

Red and green northern lights taken in Quebec by amateur astronomer Daniel Dubé

An amateur Astronomer captured these impressive auroras over Val d'Or, in Québec.

The red auroras occur when the sun releases high quantity of plasma. On the 21 december 2014, indeed, the Earth 's magnetic field underwent an important wave of electromagnetic particles which drove to a magnificent light show from the north.
