Cette vue large et ultra-détaillé de la voie lactée est le résultat de 1 h 38 d'acquisition réalisée par l'astronome amateur Français nommé "Galaad16".

Ce long temps de pose permet de discerner les couleurs naturelles de notre galaxie et de donner du relief aux nébulosités plus sombres. La partie de la voie lactée visible à l'image s'étend de la constellation du cygne (en haut à gauche) à la constellation du sagittaire (en bas à droite).

En réalité 66 photos de 1 minute 30 secondes ont été assemblées. Un reflex (capteur APS-C) non défiltré équipé d'un objectif grand angle 16 mm installés sur une monture de suivi ont été nécessaire à l'obtention de cette image.

This wide and well detailed view of the Milky Way is the result of 1h38 of time exposure, realised by a french amateur astronomer called "Galaad16".

This long exposure time enable to catch the natural colors of our galaxy and to highlight the contrast between star clusters and darker nebulosity. The part of the Milky Way visible on this image spreads from the cygnus constellation (at top left corner) to the sagittarius constellation (at bottom right corner).

As a matter of fact, 66 pictures of 1 min 30 secs each were stacked. An unmodified DSLR camera (with APS-C sensor) equipped with a wide-angle 16 mm lens installed on a tracking mount were used to get this impressive photograph.
